Hey Andi !! You have helped me in the past and we stayed at Poly in June, my ? is we decided to come in March of 2011 and stay at GF Theme Park View is that a good choice or should I stick with Poly Theme View unsure never stayed at GF a little nervous?

Hi, Crystal! I love when I get questions from repeat guests...especially ones from my sweet home Alabama! I hope you had a blast in June, and you've already booked a trip for next spring? That's fantastic!

The Grand Floridian is just that -- it's grand! I enjoy the charm and elegance of the resort. Yet, unlike it's grandiose name, it's not a bit stuffy.  In fact, we had a family reunion there with six children all under the age of seven, and we were perfectly comfortable with how the children were encouraged to be...well, children.

The resort has wonderful dining and recreation choices, and the amenities of the rooms are well appointed. The shops there are unique, and the resort is a must-see at Christmas with it's life-sized gingerbread house. The only negative aspects of the resort are the facts that the pools aren't really that special as compared to some of the other resorts, and although it's the first monorail stop on the way to the Magic Kingdom, there is no option to walk to the park despite it's close proximity.  In addition, the prices of the rooms seem to be about 10% more than the other deluxe resorts, and I don't feel you get that much more of a benefit.

Have you looked into the Yacht & Beach Clubs or The Contemporary? I love that you can walk to Epcot from the Y&BC, and Epcot and Hollywood Studios are only a boat ride away. Plus, the pool at the Y&BC is like a waterpark itself! The Contemporary gives you the close proximity to the MK, and you can even WALK to the park.  The dining there is unparalleled, and the recreation options are fantastic.  Another deluxe resort option is the Wilderness Lodge with it's breath-taking lobby, one-of-a-kind dining and unique pool.  It's also close to the MK via boat launch.

I've given you a few ideas to think about. Come back if you have more pointed questions. It was good to hear from you! Have a beautiful Alabama day and another magical vacation!
