Hey all! I would like to know when, out of these three months, September, October or November, is the best month to take the family to Disney World ? My husband and I really want to make it special for our kids. We hate high humidity any thoughts?

     Hi Corissa!

Late Fall is a wonderful time to visit Walt Disney World, cooler weather and lighter crowds make this a great time to go!There are lots of special events happening this time of year that is a great way to make this trip extra special for you children.

Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party typically runs from mid September through the first of November and this is my favorite special event at Walt Disney World!  In October, you will find the start of Epcot's International Food and Wine Festival which is a great way to taste your way around different countries cuisines. The Epcot Food and Wine Festival generally runs through the first week of November and this is usually when Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party begins, which is also a wonderful special event to attend.

If looking to avoid humidity, I would rule out September and possibly most of October.  September can have high humidity and be a risk because of hurricane season, although hurricanes usually don't affect Disney World this is still something to consider. You will still see higher temperatures and humidity in October so my suggestion would be to plan for November.

One of the best weeks to visit in terms of weather, crowds and special events in my opinion is to visit the week prior to the weekend before Thanksgiving. The weather is cooler, crowds are lighter and the chance for rain is less than that of the two previous months. The resorts and parks will also be decked out in festive holiday decorations, special yummy treats are abound and the sight of Cinderella Castle dripping in lights is a wondrous sight to behold! This can be a great week to go from a budget standpoint also, the rates for resorts are less than what you will find in October and you can typically find a discount to make these rates even lower.

I hope this helps with your vacation planning and please visit us again if you have anymore questions!
