Hey again. Have a 10:00ADR @ Boma on NYE morning, what's the best way to get there from the Contemporary--taxi? We plan to do DwntnDsny after. Will a bus take us from AK to DD, or will we have to take a taxi again? Any other ideas? Thanks

    Hi Jennifer,

On New Year's Eve, the Animal Kingdom opens super early - at 7:00 a.m. for guests staying on WDW property. You could take a taxi from the Contemporary to the AK Lodge, but if you wanted to conserve funds, you could instead take a bus from the Contemporary to the AK park and then transfer to a bus to the AK Lodge. In some circumstances I'd worry about this, but since the park is open so early that day, you shouldn't have any trouble with the buses. As long as you leave the Contemporary by about 8:30 you should be fine.

There are buses that run directly from the resorts to Downtown Disney, but not from the parks to Downtown Disney. If you're at the AK Lodge and want to go to DD, just walk over to the bus stop there and hop on the DD bus. If you're at the AK park, you could back track to the AK Lodge and take the DD bus. Alternatively, you could take a bus from the AK park to a resort that's near DD (Saratoga Springs, for example) and then walk or take a boat or bus from there to DD. And yes, a taxi is an option as well.

In almost all cases, a taxi will be the fastest method. But if you're looking to save money, then the Disney transportation system can certainly get you where you want to go.

Please let us know if you need anything else. We're happy to help.
