Heres a question! If you could only pick one disney restaurant to dine at, which one would you pick??

Wow Emily, no pressure or anything!  I'm sure you would get a different answer from everyone on this panel as there are so many great restaurants at Walt Disney World, and they all offer a unique experience.  But since you asked, I'm more than happy to share my favorites.

Now, my answer depends on who will be dining?  Are there children involved, or is it strictly adults?

If you're looking for an upscale restaurant with great food, my first choice would be California Grill at the Contemporary Resort.  Try to get reservations later in the evening so that you can watch the fireworks from the balcony.  That can be a difficult reservation to make, so my back-up (equally as wonderful) would be Jiko at the Animal Kingdom Lodge.  If you've never been to the Animal Kingdom Lodge, it's beautiful.  You can walk out and view the savanna before or after your meal, and the food is amazing!

If you're looking for more of a family fun experience, I would definitely plan a character meal.  My preference would be Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary Resort.  Again, I have a back up -- Crystal Palace in the Magic Kingdom featuring Winnie the Pooh and friends.

Hopefully my advice helps in your decision making process.  Have a great trip and bon appetit!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
