here's an obvious question. We're doing our first Disney cruise next week. When we go ashore to swim with dolphins and whatnot at Nassau, what do we do with our passports?? We need them to get back, yes?

    Hi, Sheryl!

First things first -- let's take a little time out to do a happy dance for your vacation next week! Yipeeee!  And it's your first Disney cruise?  Oh my goodness...are you ready to be pampered and entertained?!

Now to give you what you came here for -- answers to your very practical questions.  Yes, you need your passports (and your stateroom keys) anytime you leave and return to the ship. Therefore, I suggest you either keep your travel documents in a water wallet or in a plastic, zip-topped bag. More than likely, you will be provided with a storage locker during your dolphin encounter or a secured area for your personal belongings. It's always a good idea to bring a day bag with you in ports of call which include your travel documents, identification, any required medications, forms of payment and personal items for the day.

I hope this helps you plan, and please let me know how you liked your vacation. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
