I am helping plan a Christmas trip next year with a family of 6 adults and 2 small children. Are there larger suites that will accommodate my large group or will I have to get two rooms? I know that most suites fit only 6 people.

    Hi Cemone,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for your question!

The only rooms that would be able to accommodate your entire party would be a 2 Bedroom Villa in a Deluxe Villa Resort. Although staying in a Villa is definitely a splurge, especially if you’re not a Disney Vacation Club Member, we often travel with our extended family or friends and we’ve found that the space and amenities in those rooms (including a full kitchen and a washer and dryer) are often worth the expense, especially if there are small children in your party.

I would recommend two different Deluxe Villa Resort Hotels for your family: Disney’s Beach Club Villas, due to its proximity to Epcot and it’s amazing pool, Stormalong Bay, or Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani Village, due to its amazing savannas and their furry residents! My son is 3 years old, and those are his two favourite Resorts in Walt Disney World. Plus, I find that both have dining and recreation options that will be appealing to the adults in your party as well.

Don’t forget, if you're looking for a more economical option, you can also make a request to have connecting rooms in almost every Walt Disney World Resort Hotel. Please note that, while your Resort Hotel will make every effort to honour your request, the availability of connecting rooms is not guaranteed.

For more information about the types of accommodations that are available for your party size, please consult the In-Depth Guide about Rooms for 5 Guests or More.

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
