Helping friend with trip. Son has gluten free diet. I read somewhere that chefs will call you ahead of time to set up meals to meet diet. Then today I heard from WDW dining reservation girl that you have to call the chef. Can anyone tell me their exper?

    Hi Jill!

The current guideline is for guests to make a notation on their dining reservations of special dietary needs.  Your friend would then need to email SpecialDiets@DisneyWorld.com at least 14 days prior to arrival.  Have your friend include his/her reservation number in the correspondence.  A cast member will reach out to your friend to obtain specifics about the dietary needs.

    Happy planning!  Diane  :)
