Hi Bruce! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
You are going to LOVE your visit to the Walt Disney World Resort! If your daughter is anything like my kids where when they were in that
infant/toddler stage, she will really enjoy the animals at Disney's Animal Kingdom. I vividly remember the way their little faces would light up when they saw a new animal. Make sure to have your camera out and ready to capture those precious moments!
Using a carrier is not a bad idea if you plan on having your daughter out and in your arms when exploring
Disney's Animal Kingdom. I always recommend having a stroller in the theme parks as well, to help hold your items, because as you know, little ones require a lot of things throughout the day like snacks, diapers, change of clothes, sunscreen, etc. The main spots you will be walking and viewing animals is in Affection Section in Rafiki's Planet Watch, Discovery Island Trails, Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail and Maharajah Jungle Trek. Personally, I have always been fine holding my little ones in my arms to walk the trails, then returning them to their strollers after, but if this seems daunting to you, definitely bring a carrier with you!
Here are the
park rules for items in the theme parks. "Suitcases, coolers or backpacks, with or without wheels, larger than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high." These are specific rules for backpacks, so just make sure your backpack adheres to these guidelines prior to your visit.
Enjoy your upcoming trip! Please visit us again with any other questions you may have!
