Hi Moms! You are so helpful!! Stayed at Contemp last visit and want to try somewhere new next time. Besides monorail resorts, what are the most convenient with 4yo DD in a stroller? Thinking about September. Will spend most of time in MK..Thanks!!!

    Hi Melanie,

The Wilderness Lodge is a beautiful resort, fashioned after some of our Nation's greatest national parks.  There is even a Disney version of Old Faithful Geyser.  This property is considered a Magic Kingdom resort, and access to the park is via a quick boat ride.  It's proximity to the Magic Kingdom makes it very popular with families with young children, like you, who intend to spend a lot of time at the park.  There are two fantastic table-service restaurants at Wilderness Lodge:  Artist Point, which is a wonderful, signature dining establishment with food specialties from the northwest, and Whispering Canyon Cafe, which offers a great, family-style meal complete with Cast Members who entertain the guests in a crazy variety of slap-stick-style antics.

The rooms are well appointed, and have great amenities.  This property is considered a deluxe resort, and it is evident from the moment you enter the magnificent lobby, which many argue is the best at Disney.  The pool is well-themed, and has a fun slide.

I hope you will consider Wilderness Lodge.  Have a magical trip!
