    You all are so helpful! Coming to WDW in May 2013. We have a reservation at Chef Mickey's mid morning during our trip. How do we get from MK to Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary? And how much time should we allow to get there? Thanks!

    Hello, Mindy!  Welcome to the Moms Panel!

    First, thank you so much for your wonderful comment.  We simply love knowing that our guests are finding our advice to be quite helpful.

    Oh, you and your family are going to love Chef Mickey's!  There is nothing better than starting your day with Mickey & the Gang.  There are two different ways you can arrive at Chef Mickey's from the Magic Kingdom. The Contemporary Resort does have a walking path to and from the MK.  It is anywhere between 5 to 10 minutes depending on your pace.  I prefer to walk back to the MK after my meal at Chef Mickey's just to make up for that extra dessert I enjoyed!  You can also hop on Disney's Monorail System which is located just outside the entrance to the Magic Kingdom.  As you head on over to the monorail, there will be signs to assist you with which monorail to take.  Just head to the "Resorts" and the Contemporary will be your first stop.  It is a very short distance and you will be there in about two minutes once you board.  The monorails run approximately every 4 minutes.
