I helped my boyfriend to buy tickets for his family, and they got linked to my disney account, now he can’t link them to his account, and cannot open them on his App to use gennie+, is there a way I can transfer those tickets to his Disney account?

    Hello, Fernanda!

I’m so happy you and your boyfriend get to experience The Happiest Place on Earth together. And it’s great that you are getting set up with your mobile means to make magic using the Disneyland app.

To link theme park ticket purchases with a different account, be sure to use the ticket number rather than the theme park reservation QR code. But even if you have trouble still, no worries. The easiest way to link tickets is after you activate your Disney eTickets at the theme park entrance. At that point, your eTickets will be converted to regular tickets. The Cast Member will print out the tickets on cards and you may use those ticket cards or the updated tickets on the mobile app. I recommend using the printed tickets to link to the other account you wish to use. Visit the “Tickets and Passes” screen of the Disneyland app and use the “Link Tickets & Passes” button to use your mobile device’s camera to scan the barcode on the ticket. (If the “Link Tickets & Passes” button isn’t showing, tap the ‘+’ plus button in the upper right-hand corner of the “Tickets and Passes’ screen.)

With the tickets linked with both of your accounts, either of you will be able to use the mobile app for park readmission. And if you purchase the Disney Genie+ service for your tickets, either of you will be able to book Lightning Lane return times.

You are going to have a marvelous time at the Disneyland Resort, Fernanda. Say hello to Minnie Mouse for me! If you have any more questions for us, please don’t hesitate to visit again.
