Help! How would we get from WL to Chef M for 7:30am breakfast if MK opens at 9am? Will there be a bus/boat or should we (6) take taxi? Read conflicting info that bus starts 1 hr before parks but WDW guide says they start 2 hrs before opening. Confused!!

    Hi Shannan!

The quickest way to travel from Wilderness Lodge to the Magic Kingdom is by water launch (once aboard the boat, it takes approximately 10 minutes).  All complimentary transport is available one hour prior to Disney Theme Park opening time (and up to one hour after Disney Theme Park closing time). (There is also a boat that travels directly from Wilderness Lodge to the Contemporary Resort, which would be more convenient for your breakfast at Chef Mickey's.)

Therefore, if the Magic Kingdom opens at 9.00 a.m., the boats will begin operating from Wilderness Lodge at 8.00 a.m., unless the Magic Kingdom is opening for Extra Magic Hours at 8.00 a.m., when the transportation will begin operating at 7.30 a.m.  If you would like to check the calendar for when the Extra Magic Hours are in operation for each Disney Theme Park, click here Extra Magic Hours.

However, as your dining reservation is booked for 7.30 a.m. the only way you will arrive on time is by using a taxi - Bell Services at your resort will organise this for you.

You may wish to collect a copy of the Walt Disney World Transportation Guide from the front desk when you check in.

Have a magical stay at Wilderness Lodge, and enjoy your breakfast at Chef Mickey's !
