I would like help using my disney rewards to book our hotel

Hiya, Deborah! We are so happy you stopped by planDisney with your question! A holiday trip to the Happiest Place on Earth is one of the best ways to celebrate all the spirit of the season. You are going to love seeing Mickey and Minnie in their holiday best and waving to Santa as he floats down Main Street, U.S.A. in A Christmas Fantasy Parade!

Staying in the magic at one of the three hotels at the Disneyland Resort will fill this trip with pixie dusted perks. We'll get to those in a minute, but let's take care of the logistics first before we start daydreaming of those park days ahead. I believe you are talking about the Disney Rewards Redemption Dollars that are part of the Disney® Visa® Credit Card program. I hope I've got that right! I'm happy to report that these can be used to pay for your stay at the Disneyland Resort! The first step would be to log into your Disney® Visa® account and follow the instructions for transferring your reward dollars to a Disney Rewards Redemption Card. You will be sent a physical card, but in the meantime you should be able to use the number to make purchases online.

With your card loaded with those Disney dollars, head to the Disneyland Resort website and look for the "Places to Stay" tab along the top navigation bar. Click in to start planning your dream vacation! You'll be able to select your check in and check out dates, the number of Guests, and if you will need an accessible room. Tap "Find Hotels" and immediately you will see the availability for your dates at the Disneyland Hotel, Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa or Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel. The website will walk you through the booking process which includes selecting your hotel, room type, and if you want to add theme park tickets. Once you get to the "Check Out" page and enter your Guest information, credit card number and billing address, keep scrolling and you will see the option to "Pay with a Disney Rewards Redemption Card". You'll just need to enter the card number and you should be good to go! Note that you will likely need to enter a regular credit card as well to cover any overages.

Hopefully, we've secured a Disneyland Resort vacation for you, Deborah! As a Guest of a Disneyland Resort Hotel, you will benefit from Early Entry which allows Guests to enter the parks 30 magical minutes before official park opening. Yup, that's right! Head to your favorite attraction or grab a coffee and some breakfast and just enjoy a quiet moment before the park hustle and bustle kicks in! If I have my heart set on something, I like to make sure the attraction will be open during Early Entry before I usher my family all the way over to that part of the park. You can take a look at which attractions are available online, or you can always ask a Cast Member when you arrive.

Deborah, I'm wishing upon a star that you have one magical vacation! If you have any more questions, you know where to find us here at planDisney!

    Magic awaits!
