Help! I used a 4-day Military Salute ticket to attend Disneyland on 5/1/21 & used it toward my Believe Key but it set the exp to 5/1/22 which is creeping up and I still haven't rec'd any information re: renewal

    Hi Erin!

Thank you for being our Guest hEAR at planDisney! And thank you for sending this Magic Key planning question our way!

For the first time in forever, Disneyland Resort annual passes are starting to approach their renewal dates. I know a lot of Keyholders are already starting to think 'when can we do this again?' Except this really does feel like a whole new world into the unknown now that annual passes have become Magic Keys. My whole Disneyland panel team and I put our heads together, yeah yeah yeah, and we actually think that you might be the first Disneyland Resort Magic Keyholder needing to renew. This is because Magic Keys didn't go on sale until late August, and others who applied existing Theme Park Admission Tickets to upgrade to Keys most likely didn't have the generous almost full-yEAR use-date like the wonderful U.S. Military Promotional Park Hopper Tickets.

I know that you want to continue to be where the other Disney people are by keeping your Believe Key. And we don't want you to have to let it go, either. Sadly we also haven't hEARd anything yet about Mickey's plans for Magic Keys approaching their first renewal yEAR. However, I can see the light of the star you must be wishing on because I started to dig a little deeper and found that the Canadian version of the Disneyland Magic Key info page says that the Dream and Believe Keys are "currently only available for renewals" vs. how the U.S. side simply says "sold out." None of us are too sure what that means, but we're all hoping that your wishing star dream comes true.

Your best bet is to visit the Ticket Booths or Guest Relations locations at Disneyland Resort, or to call the Magic Key Holder phone line and explain your situation. Their phone number is (714) 781-7277. I want you to be prepared that your only option might be to downgrade to an Enchant or possibly even an Imagine Key (if you qualify) as an official renewal announcement has yet to hit the newsies, but hopefully it's almost there. Be sure to follow the Disney Parks Blog across your social media channels so you'll never miss a beat. But if this were me, I'd also take screenshots of your Key the way you can see it right now in your Disneyland Mobile App and save any payment information you had so if and when the renewal information does come out, you can try everything that you can to stay part of the Believe Key world.

I'm so sorry that this answer didn't provide more definitive information, Erin. I hope that the official answer you do receive is supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! And if you have any more Disneyland Resort Magic Key questions, You've always got a friend in planDisney!
