HELP! Trying to decide if MVMCP is worth the expense. What fun things are at the christmas party that I cant get during regular park hours. Also I have heard about military discounted tickets but cant find where to purchase them.

Hi Heather! Although the Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is an added expense it does offer families an opportunity to enjoy the park in the evening while they visit another park during the day. This is especially true if you don't have the Park Hopper option.

My family loves the extra event parties at the Magic Kingdom. During this party there will be snow falling on Main Street as well as cookie and cocoa stops around the park. Several dance parties take place and it is often when we can't get the grandkids to leave those and ride on the attractions!  The lines for most attractions are very short so you can do quite a bit during just a few hours. Not all rides are operating but most are.

The parade is certainly one of my favorites. I love that Mickey starts it off and it ends with Santa wishing all the guests a very merry christmas! I especially love when the toy soldiers march down Main Street! It can often be a decision of economics when deciding about the parties. I know my family loves them and we try to book if we are at Walt Disney World during the times they are offered.
