HELP! Spending 10 days at WDW in 3/2014. We currently have reservations for Boardwalk Inn, but are considering changing to Coronado Springs Resort sheerly for cost savings. I've read mixed reviews about CSR and I LOVE the Boardwalk. Nervous to change.

    Hi, Leslie!

This is a very good question, as you're comparing two fantastic, but very different, resorts.

I've stayed at both Disney's BoardWalk Inn and Disney's Coronado Springs Resort and can honestly say that either location may be perfect for your next Walt Disney World stay.

If the convenience of a BoardWalk location is one of your favorite elements of a WDW stay, then moving to Coronado may disappoint you. You'll spend your ten days comparing apples to oranges which might make you miss out on the magic of your extended stay.

However, if giiving up that location doesn't disappoint you too much, then perhaps the money you'll save by switching is your best bet. I've switched to a Moderate or Value Resort on several occasions and didn't regret it any time. Go to a new resort with the mindset of exploring what that resort has to offer, finding the niches that make it so many Guests' favorite resort, rather than comparing it to yours; you'll have a fantastic extended stay AND will have that extra cash in your pocket, too.

Location aside, Disney's Coronado Springs Resort has many perks of its own, including the fantastic Lost City of Cibola pool and Jaguar Slide. Check out the menu at Maya Grill and Pepper Market to see what wonderful options await you; they may be enough to tip the scales toward moving your stay to CS, too. This is a large resort, so if you decide to stay there, ask to be located near the lobby or a bus stop. This will save you the extra steps it may take to navigate the resort.

Good luck with your choice, Leslie! Either way, your 10-day vacation will be fabulous once you've decided what's most important about this trip for you and your family.
