I would like help setting up my DIsney vacation with tickets, reservations, etc.

Hi Julie! I’m excited to hear that a Walt Disney World Resort vacation is in your future! You brought your question to the right place!

To begin your vacation planning, visit the Walt Disney World Resort website and create a My Disney Experience account! You’ll need this account to keep track of all of your planning and reservations! You'll be able to do all of your planning in this account!

Next, you’re going to need to find a “home away from home!” Click on the “Places to Stay” heading on the website! This is going to show you all of your options in the Disney Resorts Collection! There are hotels in the value, moderate, and deluxe categories. While they are more expensive, deluxe resorts do come with some bonus privileges that you might want to take advantage of during your vacation! The biggest advantage is that Guests staying in deluxe accommodations will have extra access to the Disney Parks after regular park closing time. This benefit will come along later this year as The World’s Most Magical Celebration begins in the fall!

After you decide upon a resort hotel, you’ll want to start thinking about the Disney Parks! I recommend either visiting all four or deciding upon which parks to visit based upon the interest of your travel party. For example, my kids love Star Wars, so that automatically means we have to visit Disney’s Hollywood Studios at least once during our vacation. I love the nostalgia of Disney, so we always visit Magic Kingdom Park! You can decide how many parks you want to visit and how many days you wish to visit the parks!

I also want to recommend looking at the special offers page on the Walt Disney World Resort website. There are money-saving deals available throughout the year! You might want to consider visiting during a time when you’ll save some money!

Julie, these planning steps are enough to get you started as you dream up your vacation! Feel free to come back to planDisney with any additional questions! Also, if you’d prefer to have a Cast Member help you book your hotel and park tickets, you can call (407)-939-5277! A Cast Member will use their expertise to assist you with your planning!
