Help? Have rez for 2 rms @ CBR w/dlx dine plan for 12/16-24. (3 adults/kids 11/9/5). Thinking of changing to cabins but beds look small. Don't really need kitchen. Really luv amenities @ Fort Wilderness. Any suggestions? Other resorts? $$ is an issue. THX

Hi  Gloria!  I really have fallen in love with the cabins and Fort Wilderness from my last two stays there.  They are so quiet and peaceful and just what I need from the busy days in the parks.

However, if you are thinking about getting one cabin for the entire group I would recommend you keep the Caribbean Beach reservations.  There is one small bedroom with a double bed and a bunk bed. The bunks are really for kids as most adults would find their feet hanging over the ends.  The other bed is in the living area and it is a double murphy pull down bed.  The biggest issue besides the beds being just doubles or bunks is that there is little storage area. The closet is very small and there are only four small drawers in the bedroom.  There is some cabinet storage in the living area but not much.  My husband and I find the cabins perfect for the two of us but with your group I would only recommend using them if you reserved two.  The bathroom is nice but to share one bath with six people is not fun wherever you stay.

Fort Wilderness is indeed a wonderful place and we love it.  You don't have to stay there to go to enjoy some of the fun things that happen at this "resort".  Maybe you can plan an evening or part of a day during your vacation and head over to the "Fort"!
