HELP!! Reserved a boat for illumination when I called WDine the lady told me there is now a dessert party for illuminations. We are doing that at MK. I can't find any info/pics she said its new. do this instead of the boat for $25 less?5 adults 3 -1st time

    Hi Dana!

The IlumiNations Sparkling Dessert Party is brand new.  I was visiting Epcot last weekend and saw them set up for it.  I'm really excited about this new option for a little extra pixie dust at Walt Disney World.  I have done the specialty fireworks cruises for IllumiNations as well as Wishes at the Magic Kingdom and I have to say that it's my favorite way to watch the show.  A private boat with your family and friends is really special and pretty exciting for the kids.  The dessert parties are fantastic as well, but if it was my choice, I'd stick with the specialty cruise.

I have heard mixed reviews about the Tommorowland Terrace Dessert Party in terms of viewing space.  I have been lucky enough to attend several dessert party events for IllumiNations and they've been fantastic.  Since it's an open area, there are no viewing areas with a disadvantage.  If you wanted (and if it's available), you can swap your dessert party and your cruise.  Take the Wishes cruise and do the IllumiNations dessert party.

    Have a magical day!
