Hi Tara, it's great to have you back at planDisney! As a fellow parent with a large family who loves to travel to Disney World, I truly understand the effort and care you're putting into planning this trip. Your family's experience is important to us, and I'm here to ensure it's nothing short of fantastic.
The good news is that there's no wrong answer or better choice here. Both
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort will offer you an unparalleled experience. They provide easy access to Magic Kingdom and EPCOT through the monorail, accessibility features, the care and attention that only Disney World Cast Members can provide, and lots of entertainment options. At the end of the day, it's a personal choice, and I really don't think it will make any impact on your trip's success.
As for my personal preference, I'm a big fan of Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. The rooms are not only comfy and spacious, but the split bathrooms are a real lifesaver during busy mornings. The pools and the decor are top-notch, and I particularly enjoy the
convenience of the monorail for park access, making walking to the parks less of a priority for me.
If you don't want to rely on transportation, Disney's Contemporary Resort has the shortest pathway to the Magic Kingdom of all three Resorts. You can also easily walk from Grand Floridian to the park, but it will take 15-20 minutes on average.
I hope this helps answer your question, Tara! I can't wait to hear more about all the magical experiences you'll have at The Most Magical Place on Earth. Please come back anytime
and let us know if you have more questions. We are always here and happy to help out our fabulous friends like you.
Cheers,
Nilson
