Hello, help, please I'm from the 22nd to the 25th at all star music, we're planning on August 23, going to Mkingdom, my daughter turns 6 that day, they close that day at 6 pm, do you think it's a good idea to go that day? What do you advise me?

Hello Dayanna! Having your daughter celebrate her sixth birthday at Magic Kingdom is such a great idea! We did the same thing for my twin sons when they turned six! They are now 20, but they both remember that birthday as one of their favorites!

You are correct that Magic Kingdom does close at 6:00 PM on Sunday, August 23. Here is the best part about going to Magic Kingdom on an early closure day…the lines tend to be shorter! For the same reason that you’re asking, some people choose not to go to Magic Kingdom on an early closure day. As a result, the lines tend to be shorter, and the park isn’t quite as crowded. That sounds like a good combination to me!

In all honesty, the only things you’ll be missing out on are the “vibe” of being in Magic Kingdom at nighttime. That is a special feeling. You’ll also be missing the nighttime fireworks show and parade. If those are absolute “musts” for your family, then you may want to consider selecting a different date for your visit to Magic Kingdom.

Before you make your decision to switch dates, remember that you’ll get to experience the same attractions during the daytime as you would at night. Also, keep in mind that the fireworks show and nighttime parade come at the end of a long (and hot) day. Sometimes little ones (and adults too) have a hard time staying up late for the fireworks and parade.

Dayanna, don’t forget to pick up a complimentary “Happy Birthday” button for your little Disney princess! The buttons are available at Guest Relations in the Disney Parks and at the front desk of Disney World hotels! Consider it a birthday gift from Mickey and Minnie!

    Dreams do come true!
