Help, please. It’s time to check in for a Bahamian cruise. But my 1 year old grandson’s passport had not yet arrived. May we check in? Thank you.

Welcome back to planDisney, Catherine! Thank you for coming back to visit us with your question.

Hakuna Matata! No worries! You can use an image of your grandson's original state-issued birth certificate to upload for Online Check-In. Once his passport arrives, you can change his travel documentation to his passport. Just make sure the documentation you ultimately use is the one you bring to physically show at the cruise terminal. If anyone 16 years and older in your travel party is using their original state-issued birth certificate as their documentation, they must also present a physical government-issued ID. Digital/mobile state-issued IDs are not acceptable to sail.

If your grandson's parent or legal guardian is not traveling with you all, you will also need to bring the completed Authorization for Minor to Travel Without a Parent or Legal Guardian with you. It must be completed by his parent or legal guardian, giving permission for you to retain care and custody for the duration of the cruise.

Catherine, I hope this helps as you get Online Check-In started. Your magical vacation on the Disney Magic will be here real soon. If you have any other questions, sail back to planDisney.

    Bon Voyage!
