Hi, can you help please. We are staying for 2 weeks from the 5th May 2011. can anyone recomend 2 or 3 good places for nice meal's in the resort, especially good for seeing the firework shows / parades etc from?? Thx

    Hi Caroline,

Based on your request for places where you can see fireworks and shows, here are my top 3 picks:-

    1/ California Grill - Disney's Contemporary Resort
This signature dining restaurant serves award winning gourmet dinners from an on-stage Kitchen and is located on the 15th floor of the Contemporary Resort. The restaurant offers views of the resorts situated on Seven Seas Lagoon and Magic Kingdom. It also has an outdoor platform which offers fantastic views of Wishes fireworks which take place at Magic Kingdom. The music is piped into the restaurant as well as the outdoor viewing area. I would recommend that you make an advanced dining reservation for 60 - 90 minutes prior to the start of Wishes on the day of your proposed visit.

    2/ Ohana's - Disney's Polynesian Resort
This is one of my favourite places to eat at Walt Disney World! The food is absolutely delicious and it also provides fantastic family entertainment. I would suggest that you make an advanced dining reservation for 90 -120 minutes prior to the start of Wishes Night-time Spectacular at Magic Kingdom on the day of your choice. Once you have finished your meal, make your way down to the beach and grab a hammock ready to watch the fireworks. The soundtrack is once again played through speakers to enhance your viewing. You will also be able to watch the Electrical Water Pageant which floats around Seven Seas Lagoon each night. (It usually starts at 9pm with the Polynesian being its 1st stop)

3/ Rose & Crown Pub - United Kingdom Pavilion at Epcot
If you are missing some good old English food then this restaurant is the perfect choice and also offers a prime view of IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth from its outdoor patio area. I would recommend making an advanced dining reservation for 60 - 90 minutes before the show is due to begin and would advise you to get there early as a table on the patio cannot be guaranteed or requested in advance.
