HELP! I am planning a trip for the first week in March 2011 and cannot decide between Movies or Pop. I want something fun for the kids, clean, but no too big or packed. Can you give me some pros and cons of each resort?? Thanks!!

Hi Andrea!  My choice would absolutely be Pop Century resort!

The All Star resorts start to run together as one big resort where Pop Century is off by itself with its own bus transportation.  All Star resorts share buses making this a crowded and often stressful part of the vacation.

Pop Century has a wonderful food court with some delicious culinary choices for all meals.  There is abundant seating so you can always find tables.  The lobby area is like a museum with many great memorabilia on the walls......children will ask "what is it" and adults will say "I had it" when they see it all!

Many of the Pop Century rooms have just been refurbished.  The decor is simple but fun and just walking around the grounds to see all the larger then life figures is worth it.  I love the Mickey phone and love the bowling pin pool complete with all the themed touches.  If you have time take a walk down to the lake and cross the bridge "to nowhere".  It is a quiet retreat but better then that you can see the progress of the newest value resort being built.

My final thought for the All Star resorts is that during many months including March you can tend to run into more groups.  When taking a family vacation I prefer to not be in the middle of school groups or sporting groups with kids coming and going constantly.

The value resorts are big but the Pop Century just didn't seem to intolerable when walking from room to lobby area.  Good luck with your decision but any Disney resort is worth the stay on property!
