Howdy, Theresa!
It looks like you're hoping to plan a vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort later this year. The time you've mentioned is actually my favorite time of year at Walt Disney World, spooky season! Fall-themed decor covers Main Street U.S.A, filling the shops, bakeries and attractions with pumpkins, gourds and foliage! I also love a good after-hours event, like
Boo Bash, where I can spend extra late-night time in Magic Kingdom Park and ride my favorite attractions with shorter wait times while taking in all the extra spookiness, especially the treats!
Planning a trip to Walt Disney World is a bit more in-depth than your run-of-the-mill vacation planning process, so I can see why you'd ask for guidance. Luckily, planning is my specialty!
Walt Disney World vacations have many intricacies, but the three main components are as follows.
1. Choose your
Disney Resort Hotel. These resorts are broken down into three categories- value (lower budget, but still with over-the-top theming and fun), deluxe (high-end hotels with closer proximity to parks and more dining options and amenities) and moderate (a middle ground for a mid-range budget. I've stayed at accommodations within each category and had an equally magical experience at all of them! My favorites?
Disney's Riviera Resort,
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter and
Disney's Art of Animation Resort.
2. Purchase
theme park tickets. Once you've decided how long to stay, plan out your park days accordingly and choose from two ticket options- one park per day or add the
Park Hopper Option, allowing you to visit multiple parks on the same day. Once you've selected a ticket type, you can bundle this with your resort hotel to create a vacation package.
3. Make park reservations using the
Park Pass Reservation System. This is where you will select your starting park for each day of your vacation, guaranteeing access to that particular park on that day. You'll only need to reserve your first park each day before park-hopping after 2 p.m. if you've added that option.
Theresa, this list just covers the basics. Of course, you'll want to book your travel separately, plan for transportation to and from the airport and add any
Enchanting Extras to your stay. If you'd like help narrowing down the options, you can
reach out to a Cast Member directly. They'll be able to walk you through the process in more detail and help book your vacation over the phone!
Have a magical day,
Ashley
