Help! Have ph+wp. Will arrive 8/17@9:30am at Mco and leave @7:00 8/23. Have 7yr dtr/12 yr son. What is the best itinerary? Want to do one water park, and possible breaks . I can't seem to fit it all in for a way that makes sense! . Staying @AoA.

    Hi Melissa,

One thing that I tell everyone who is visiting Walt Disney World is that you cannot possibly do everything that there is to do at Walt Disney World on one vacation. My family and I have been visiting Walt Disney World multiple times per year for many years, and there is still so much that we have not yet experienced! I recommend that you order the free Walt Disney World planning DVD. By watching this together, you and your family can decide which theme parks and attractions are the most appealing to you. Once you have traveled from the airport to Walt Disney World, my guess is that it will be around midday on your arrival day. I would visit a theme park that is not the one that you are the most interested in on this day, as it will be a shorter day. I also like this plan because it is good to build up to the theme park that you are most interested in later in your vacation.

Because you want to take breaks, and also because it is typically quite hot at Walt Disney World in August, I suggest that you take advantage of Extra Magic Hours, which allows Walt Disney World resort guests extra time in a particular theme park. Check the Walt Disney World theme park hours online to find out which theme park has Extra Magic Hours on any given day. For example, currently Epcot - Future World is listed as having Extra Magic Hours on Tuesday August 19 starting at 8:00 a.m. This might be a good day for you to visit Epcot as you will be able to get there early, experience many attractions while it is cool and the crowds are not as large, and then head back to your resort for a mid-day break.

I am limited in the space that I have to answer, Melissa. Please do write back if you have any further questions!
