    Help Mom's panel! Our family (with 2 girls age 7 &6) is having troubles deciding between adding the hopper option or to buy tickets to MVMCP. We are on a budget and can choose only one. Which experience would be best for our girls? Thanks!

    Hey, Laura! Sounds like you're in a pickle. I relish the opportunity to help you out.

    Okay. I'll dispense with the cute stuff. Let's get down to brass tacks.

    There are a couple of considerations that I'd factor into your decision. The most critical ones are (1) what is the length of your trip? - and - (2) is this your first trip? If it is your first trip and you're going to be in town 4-5 days or less, then I think you'd have plenty to squeeze in without factoring in the Christmas party. And, with just a handful of days, you'd benefit from the flexibility to go to multiple parks per day. In this scenario, I'd say get the park hopper feature and pass on the Christmas party.

    Conversely, if you'll be in town for more than 5 full days, then you'll have at least one day where you could visit your favorite park twice (assuming that you plan to visit all 4 parks at least once). Under this scenario, I'd lean more toward getting tickets to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.
