Help Panel! Arriving 1/23. Having huge trouble deciding if my DD6 would be scared if we took her to see Fantasmic. She is totally a Disney girl - the villans would not scare her but she is afraid of the dark. Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

    Hi Anne,

It does get awfully dark during Fantasmic.  There are even moments of complete darkness.  I would recommend purchasing some of the light-up merchandise that is sold throughout the parks.  It may help your daughter feel more comfortable.  My four year daughter brought her light up wand with her during our last trip.  It made the darkness much less scary.

Before you head over to Fantasmic see how she handles short moments of darkness on other WDW attractions.  Shows like Its Tough to be a Bug or Voyage of the Little Mermaid have moments of complete darkness as do rides like Journey Into Imagination with Figment or Pirates of the Caribbean.

Good luck and enjoy your trip - Michelle

Meet the Panelist: Michelle, New Jersey

I have been fortunate enough to be on the Walt Disney World Moms Panel since 2008.  As a Disney World enthusiast, I can’t imagine a greater opportunity.  My husband, our 6-year-old daughter, and I visit WDW a few times a year.
