HELP!!! I need some information. We have Grand pa and Grand Ma, 1 son & wife, 2nd son & wife & 3 chrildren (5,4,1), & daughter, husband & 3 children (4,3,1). I am trying to figure out the best accommodation set-up for this large grou

    Hi Bill!

Sounds like you are planning a really fun gathering!
From my count, there are four (sub)family units. If they are each looking to get a room separately (not a everyone in one villa which has up to three bedrooms) the good news is that based on the ages of the little ones, all the families can stay in a standard room at a resort of their choosing. That's because those with more than four members in their group have a fifth child under the age of three which Disney allows for one guest under three to be accommodated in a crib in the room.

You'll want to consider, given so many options, the budget for the group and if everyone would like to stay at the same resort. Disney has Value, Moderate, Deluxe, and Deluxe Villa accommodations and the prices go up as you move from Value to Deluxe Villas.

Another factor to keep in mind is how important proximity and transportation options are for the group. Each resort type falls into a proximity group such as "Magic Kingdom resort" or "Epcot resort" and so on. Aside from being close to a given park, a resort area may have advantages such as having many dining options like in the Epcot resort area. Transportation options, depending on the resort, may be only buses, or buses and monorail, or buses and water launch (boat).

Please feel free to think over some of these points, and write back in to the Moms Panel with some more specifics in mind. I can only touch on some of the main points given the amount of space to type, but I hope this helps you at least get started on planning your accommodations!
