Help! Looking @ 10 day trip in May 2012. Will be taking several days off from parks to relax. I am stuck between POFQ and Poly. I want Poly, but having a hard time with the cost. Is Poly worth it since we are taking days off from the parks to relax?

    Hi Andrea!

This is sooo tough!!!  The Polynesian is one of my top three favorite resorts and if money were, no issue, I would wholeheartedly recommend the Poly for your stay.  I can just see you now....relaxing by the volcano pool on your "days off," with Cinderella's castle looming magically in the distance.  My favorite Disney restaurant, 'Ohana is on property and so is the most amazing breakfast on the planet - Tonga Toast!

That being said, Port Orleans French Quarter is so romantic and it rivals the Deluxe resorts with its gorgeous landscaping and atmosphere.  You are just a leisurely boat ride away from Downtown Disney and you can take advantage of the pools and restaurants at your sister resort, Port Orleans Riverside, as well!

I know that the price difference is pretty darn significant and I'm thinking that the money that you would save by staying at POFQ would certainly be nice to have!  After all, you will probably want to go shopping on one of your days off and that extra money would be pretty nice.  Whatever your choice, I am certain that it will be fabulous!

    Much pixie dust,
