Help!! Kids are 3 and 5 and cannot decide between Mickey's bbq and whispering canyon. My children are a little shy and I am wondering if the bbq would be overwhelming for them. Thanks! Kathy

    Hi Kathy,

I actually think that Mickey's Backyard BBQ might be a better choice if your kids are shy.  My family loves Whispering Canyons Cafe now that my boys are a bit older (almost 6 and almost 8), but when my kids were your kids' ages, they were a bit overwhelmed by the "antics" (albeit hilarious and super fun) at Whispering Canyons.  The venue can get loud and the servers engage in jokes/pranks at all of the tables at the expense of the guests.  At the BBQ, the "action" takes place on a large dance floor.  The characters do not approach the tables, so if your children prefer to watch, they can do so from the comfort of your table or from the perimeter of the dance floor.  If, after a while, they chose to engage with and dance along with the characters, they can do so.  I'm guessing once they see how fun "cutting a rug" alongside Mickey, Minnie, Chip n' Dale looks, they'll join right in.

Whichever you chose, have a magical night!
