Hello, I would like to get some help and information about planning a family trip for our 50th anniversary in December 2023. We may be interested in a Disney Cruise or Disney World.

    Hi Terri,

Welcome to planDisney and thank you for your question! Congratulations on your 50th Anniversary and how exciting that you’ll be able to celebrate with your family at the Walt Disney World Resort! Though we don’t plan your full vacation, I’d be more than happy to give you a few pointers to get started!

First, I suggest checking out this Visitor’s Guide. It's a great resource because you can see all the Theme Parks on one page and explore which might be best for you and your party. You can also view attractions by categories like “Thrill Seekers”, and “Little Ones”.

At this stage, you can also look into your options for hotels. You'll want to explore the Disney Resorts Collection and other accommodations that surround the Walt Disney World Resort! Since you want to come during the holiday season, it'll be very important to book your accommodations early. Remember that you can always check out the Special Offers page to see what options might be available for you. Booking more than 10 rooms? Reach out to Group Reservations desk.

Next, you’ll want to download the My Disney Experience mobile app. It’s like having all the Walt Disney World info in the palm of your hand! You’ll be able to view Theme Park maps, purchase Disney Genie+ and Lightning Lanes, use GPS to guide you throughout the Resort, and even mobile order at select restaurants. You’ll want to download the app so you’re comfortable with navigating through all its features. Once you’re on property, remember that you can always pick up a physical map at the entrance of the Theme Park.

Finally, check out the planDisney Video Library to learn more about the Walt Disney World Resort. You can also take a look at the Disney Parks Blog for the latest and greatest news. The Blog will be very important for you and your party because once the info is available, it will detail all the holiday events happening throughout the Resort!

Now, if you're wanting more information on cruising, make sure to connect with my friends Adrianna and Andrew. They are super knowledgeable and with the Disney Wish making it to Port Canaveral recently, you'll definitely want to get all the tips and tricks from them!

I hope this “Bit By Bryanna” is helpful as you begin preparing for an amazing family vacation. As you have other planning or vacation questions, please feel free to reach out, I’m always happy to help!
