Hi Laurie,
It sounds like you have selected the basic
Disney Dining Plan for your upcoming trip. That's the one my family uses all the time! We love it. We have saved so much money using the Disney Dining Plan over the years. I'm sure you'll find that, even with the updated 2012 prices, it is a cost-effective way to feed a family while visiting Walt Disney World.
You'll find that this plan is very easy to use. For your table service meals, you will get to choose one non-alcoholic beverage, one entree, and one dessert from the menu. Appetizers and gratuities are not included. If you are at a restaurant that offers a buffet, you may choose a non-alcoholic beverage to accompany your buffet meal. Again, gratuities are not included.
For quick service meals, you can choose one entree, one dessert, and one non-alcoholic beverage. Snacks on the Disney Dining Plan are easy to identify on menus throughout Walt Disney World. You'll see a purplish-pink square on the menu with a DDP on it. If you have any questions as you are using the plan, don't hesitate to ask a nearby Cast Member. They are expert guides when it comes to using the Disney Dining Plan.
Be sure to pick up your refillable resort mug on the first day of your vacation and use it often. That's another great way to save money with the Disney Dining Plan.
If there's anything else you'd like to know about the Disney Dining Plan, just post a follow-up question to the Moms Panel. We love Disney dining questions!
