Help! I am a Florida resident and I recently purchased tickets, my little sister who is 15 will be visiting Kissimmee in a couple weeks and we want to purchase her tickets as well, if she’s 15 and still a minor does she need to show proof of residency?

Hi there, Nelly! Welcome to planDisney! It's always a pleasure to chat with my fellow Floridians. Let's get you ready for your family adventure at the Walt Disney World Resort!

There's nothing I enjoy more than going to my favorite place with my favorite people. I just know you're going to have an amazing time at Walt Disney World when your sister comes to visit. And as our friends Timon and Pumbaa would say, "Hakuna Matata!" No worries, Nelly! Since your sister is under age 18, you can buy a  Florida Resident ticket for her. You'll just need to provide your proof of Florida residency as the actual purchaser of the ticket. It will still be in her name, but as a minor, there's no need for your sister to provide ID.

Just remember that you'll need to make Disney Park Pass reservations for everyone in your party ahead of time, but then you're good to go make magical memories!

Nelly, I hope this helps you have a fabulous time with your sister at the Walt Disney World Resort! Please be sure to come see us again if you have any more questions!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
