Help! On the fence about MVMCP. Going to WDW 12/7-12/11 w/ my DH, Sis & BIL, 2 nieces (2.5 & 5, their 1st trip) & my dad. If we spend all day 12/8 in the MK, can't decide if we should spend the evening there for the party. Is it worth it?

    Hi Jordan,

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is a really fun event.  There are carolers, a special parade & fireworks, shorter lines for attractions, hot chocolate and cookies, and it even snows on Main Street!  However, having said that, you have to know your limits.  If your party (not just the kids) is going to be exhausted from spending an entire day in the parks, it won't be worth it to spend the extra money for the party.

If you decide to go to the party, I suggest that you spend a few hours at your resort during the afternoon.  Take a nap or just get some rest.  Also, it's kind of fun to walk into the park once the party is in full swing at 7:00 - everything is really festive.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
