Help! 1st family trip 9/5-9/11 (DH, DD7, DS5). Booked CBR but now I'm wondering if we should switch to the Wilderness Lodge. Is the location and smaller resort size worth the extra $450? Have 4 ADR in MK area and don't want to be on a bus all the time. Thx

Hi Jennifer! If that $450 is within your budget and won't put a crimp in the rest of your vacation, I can say without a doubt it is worth it. I would live in Wilderness Lodge if I could, it's just that relaxing and beautiful. It really does make a difference being secluded but still within walking distance to the lobby, dining and pool choices. The boat to Magic Kingdom is a scenic convenience that will definitely be a plus with your Magic Kingdom area ADR's.

Another option with Wilderness Lodge is the bunk bed rooms, which may work out perfectly with the age of your children. I know when my kids were younger, walking into a Wilderness Lodge room and seeing bunk beds was just about as cool as seeing the Castle at the end of Main Street! They also loved just exploring the lobby, watching the geyser go off in front of Bay Lake, and of course, the pool. You'd also have the Cub's Den children's activity center for an additional fee if you'd like a parent's night out.

All in all, I definitely think it is worth it and that you'd have a wonderful time at Disney's Wilderness Lodge. If you have any other specific questions about the resort, please come back and ask us! ~Suzannah
