Help! We are from Europe and normally do not have to make res. in Euro Disney We are planning our trip to Disney Fl in August. Do we need to make L and D reservations for all days? We want to have at least 1 L for  our D with characters. And where?

    Hi Nicole!

Unlike Disneyland Paris, or even Disneyland in the United States, you should definitely make Advanced Dining Reservations (ADRs) at Walt Disney World.  ADRs can be made 180 days in advance at (407) WDW-DISNEY or online here.  Over the years, dining at Table Service restaurants have become more and more popular and it's almost impossible to just walk up to a restaurant anymore.

With regards to where to dine with characters, I recommend the following:
    • Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary Resort
    • Cinderella's Royal Table inside Cinderella Castle in the Magic Kingdom
    • Princess Storybook Dining in Norway in Epcot
    • Crystal Palace in the Magic Kingdom
    • Garden Grill in the Land Pavilion in Epcot
My family's favorite Character Dining Experience is Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary Resort.  After that my next favorite is the Garden Grill restaurant.  That restaurant is relatively small, giving you more time to interact with the characters.  I also like seeing Mickey Mouse dressed as a farmer.

Walt Disney World is much larger than Disneyland Paris.  I suggest picking up the book "The Complete Walt Disney World" by Julie and Mike Neal.  It's a great book for first time visitors filled with wonderful photos.  It can help you determine what you would like to do while visiting.
