HELP! We are going to disney world at the beginning of July and do not know where to start for planning. It is only 3 weeks away. We do have our CBR for a week and park hopper passes to the 4 parks but beyond that I dont know where to begin.

    Hi Jennifer,

You must be so excited for your upcoming vacation!  Have you made any dining reservations?  July is a very popular time of year to visit Walt Disney World, and restaurants are often filled.  Many people decide to eat primarily at counter service restaurants, but I recommend making at least one or two reservations for a nice, sit-down meal that your family can enjoy together.  Any of the character meals are great, or there are several unique restaurants throughout the World Showcase in Epcot.

Once you've made your dining reservations, you can choose the parks you will visit on each day.  Also, figure out which shows/parades you want to see to help plan your schedule.

Extra magic hours are a great way to get a few attractions in before the regular crowds arrive; however, the parks that have extra magic hours often fill up quickly.  Our family usually goes to one park in the morning to take advantage of the extra hour, then we leave around lunchtime to swim at our hotel & get out of the heat.  In the evening we head to a different park - avoiding any with extra hours.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
