Hi, Patrick! Welcome to
planDisney!
Any and all visits to the Walt Disney World Resort are magical in their own unique way, but there's something truly special about first visits. I'm so happy that I get to help you plan your very first trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth!
Patrick, it seems like you're on the right track, which is absolutely wonderful! From what I gather, you have already purchased your Theme Park tickets and made Park Pass reservations for the parks that you'd like to visit during your vacation.
Now, let me explain the overall layout of Disney's Hollywood Studios. After walking through the entrance, you will see Hollywood Boulevard, which is a retro street filled with amazing shops, The Hollywood Brown Derby (one of my favorite restaurants on property!), and––right at the end––Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway... the newest and coolest attraction! If you look to the right of this attraction, you will see a staircase taking you to a walkway that will lead you through the Animation Courtyard and Toy Story Land. Once you've passed Alien Swirling Saucers, which is the very last attraction at Toy Story Land, the entire ambiance will change. This means you've successfully made your way to
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge!
Patrick, I am very happy to report that your Theme Park tickets and Theme Park reservations for Hollywood Studios include admission to
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. This means that you won't need to do anything else in order to wander around the planet of Batuu, fly on the
Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run or escape from Kylo Ren on
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance! If you'd like to elevate your experience, however, you could also make reservations to build your own lightsaber at
Savi's Workshop or a unique droid at
Droid Depot. Keep in mind, however, that these experiences are not included with your Theme Park admission.
Since we're talking about all things
Star Wars, you should also know that you'll be able to experience
Star Tours – The Adventures Continue in the Echo Lake area of Hollywood Studios. Even though this classic attraction isn't located at Galaxy's Edge, you'll still get your
Star Wars fix! I know that all these names and locations can be a bit confusing for a first-timer, which is why I encourage you to download the My Disney Experience mobile app in order to check the park maps in real time while you're here. Also, make sure to pick up your complimentary "First Time Visit" buttons at any Guest Relations location or shop within the Resort!
If you have any other questions, you know where to find us.
Light the fire!
