Help! Going to Disney area 05/22-29 with 80 & 82 yo folks, 3 & 6 yo, & my husband & myself. Other than T-Rex at Disney Downtown, any suggestions for restaurants not within the parks that we can all enjoy with show or events BUT ALSO good

    Hello Sarabeth,

I believe that Disney World is about more than just the Theme Parks. My family has visited and dined there as a multi-generational group. And we can honestly say we love all of the dining options Disney has to offer.

You mentioned T-REX at Downtown Disney. But have you considered Raglan Road Irish Pub? Fabulous food (the Guinness brown bread and the bread pudding are to die for!) and live music...it can't be beat. My daughter enjoys watching the dancers on stage and often gets up from our table wanting to join them! We also like the Gospel Brunch at House of Blues. Talk about making a joyful noise!

Your family may also like the Spirit of Aloha show at the Polynesian Resort. The luau serves authentic food from the Islands, including a barbeque rib that's delicious! Just a word of caution though, there are fire knife dancers too, so if your little one is a bit fearful around open flames, this may not be your best bet. But there are also hula dancers, a big plus for my daughter.

Hope this helps. Good luck planning!

Meet the Panelist: Monina, Ohio

My family loves our Main Street in Ohio. But there's simply no comparison to Main Street U.S.A.! We don't get to Disney quite as often as I'd like, but that just means finding new ways to sprinkle Pixie Dust on our adventures! Learn More About Monina
