Hello Stacy, thank you for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
This is a tough choice for me as I love both
Blue Bayou and
Cafe Orleans (and the
French Market, as well!) You'll find that the fares are similar at both restaurants, as they both serve Cajun/Creole cuisine. There are two versions of Monte Cristos at Cafe Orleans, Three-Cheese and Traditional (with sliced ham, turkey, and Swiss cheese). Blue Bayou, however, does not have the Three-Cheese Monte Cristo, nor the pommes frites (so delicious!).
The ambiance varies greatly between the two restaurants, with Cafe Orleans being more casual. It resembles a cafe, and has indoor and outdoor seating. Blue Bayou is located within the
Pirates of the Caribbean, but you'll feel like you're outdoors in the bayou as you watch Guests drifting by in boats, with lit lanterns above.
Because Blue Bayou is located in such a unique place (it's not a daily event where you can dine within an attraction), I definitely recommend Guests to try this at least once. Please be aware that Blue Bayou only serves Le Special de Monte Cristo sandwich during lunch at this time. Regardless of which venue you choose for your delicious meal, be sure to make an
advance dining reservation.
I hope this information helps in planning your upcoming trip to the Happiest Place on Earth.
Bon Appetit,
Kiki
