Hey there, hi there Deborah! Welcome to planDisney. We appreciate you stopping by with your question. While I don't have the pixie dust to coordinate and plan your trip for you, I would love to give you some tips and suggestions that I hope will help.
First things first, I recommend checking out a
Disneyland Resort Hotel Package. This will allow you to pick your Disneyland Resort Hotel, as well as your theme park tickets all in one package. If you are going to be enjoying the parks for multiple days I definitely suggest adding the Park Hopper option to your tickets. This comes in so handy since you can walk out of one park and into the other within a minute or two.
While purchasing your package, you will have the option to add
Disney Genie+ to your tickets as well. This is $20 (prices are subject to change) per day per ticket, but ultimately lets you make Lightning Lane selections for participating attractions to avoid waiting in the normal standby lane. This can really save a lot of time, especially on a busier day. If you purchase this with your package you must add it to every day of your theme park ticket duration. You also have the option to wait and add it to your tickets the day of, after you have scanned into the park. This would give you the flexibility to add it to one day to try it out and then add it additional days if you enjoyed it. Disney Genie+ service also includes unlimited digital PhotoPass downloads for the day, which is such a great addition to make sure you have a headstart on your memory book.
You are welcome to enter and enjoy Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge on any of the days that you have theme park reservations for Disneyland Park. Our family loves spending time on this planet far, far away. This is where you can get the chance for your Jedis to build their own lightsabers at
Savi's Workshop - Handbuilt Lightsabers. You will be able to make reservations for this experience via the page that I have linked for you.
Another helpful tip to mention is that if you want to book any
dining reservations for table service locations, you can do this 60 days out from that date. Popular locations do get reserved very fast, but many also take same-day walk-up reservations and some even have a virtual walk-up list to join on the Disneyland app.
Disneyland Hotel is such a magical place to explore and lay your head beneath the twinkling headboards every night. I absolutely love staying there and it's just a walk through
Downtown Disney District to get to the parks.
Deborah, I hope that this information helps ease your overwhelm and get you excited to start planning your magical getaway at The Happiest Place on Earth. Please come back and see us again if you have any other planning questions. You've got a friend in us!
