Hello, Rose,
You are a guest after my own family's heart! For us, dining at Disney is an attraction in and of itself, and there are so many wonderful choices to dine at while at Walt Disney World. Since you will be around the Disney's Yacht Club Resort, my immediate thought is the
Yachtsman Steakhouse where not only will you find wonderfully aged in-house steaks, but there are other offerings to help with your foodie side such as Duck A 'L Orange, Seared Ahi Tuna, and even Truffle Macaroni & Cheese. They also serve delicious popovers with dinner that, in my opinion, are worth a visit just to get a chance to sample them.
If you don't mind taking a romantic stroll around the lake, you can walk to the
Flying Fish Cafe, which is just across the lake on the Boardwalk. Don't let the name
cafe fool you; it is a fine dining establishment that specializes in seafood, but also has steak on the menu. If you'd like to really expand your palate, it also offers a 5-course prix fixe menu with wine pairings called the
Chef's Tasting Wine Dinner. You'll have front row seats so you can watch all the action happening in the kitchen as well as a chance to speak to the chef.
Trattorio al Forno just opened this last year on the Boardwalk and offers a wide selection of Italian specialities, but also has t-bone steak on the menu.
If you'd like to read more about these restaurants, I am hooked on the detailed reviews and photos about Disney dining that can be found at www.disneyfoodblog.com.
Wishing you a wonderful date night! -Kara
