    Help me change a magic band from one family member to another.

It looks like you'll be arriving at The Most Magical Place on Earth today... the wait is finally over and your enchanting escape awaits! I'd be happy to help your family prepare for an unforgettable time together.

    Rita, once a MagicBand or MagicBand+ has been assigned to and used by a Guest, it cannot be transferred to another Guest. Therefore, unfortunately, you won't be able to change the ownership of the band you have currently. However, I'm happy to share that your family members have plenty of options when it comes to accessing the magic throughout your vacation! Disney MagicMobile service, available in the My Disney Experience mobile app, allows Guests to create digital passes to be stored in their phone's digital wallet. These passes allow Guests to access many of the same features a MagicBand would, including entering the theme parks, tapping in to redeem Lightning Lane passes at attractions, and more! Additionally, Guests may use the "Unlock Door" feature in the My Disney Experience mobile app to auto-magically unlock the door to their Disney Resort hotel room.

    If your family member prefers something physical, like a MagicBand, but they don't want to purchase a new band, they could always stop by a Guest Relations location or theme park ticket window to request a physical card (also known as a "Key to the Word Card.") You'll be pleased to know that these complimentary cards offer many of the same conveniences as a MagicBand! Of course, if your family member longs for the haptic vibrations and dazzling light interactive features of MagicBand+, they'll be able to find a replacement band at one of the many shops on property during your stay. They'll be able to link and pair their new band within the My Disney Experience mobile app in no time! I do recommend charging new bands completely overnight before first use in order to optimize the MagicBand+ experience.
