Hello Kay! Welcome to the Disney Parks Mom´s Panel.
September is a great time to enjoy hot-humid weather and really low crowds at Walt Disney World. My first recommendation is to get travel insurance with Disney. When my family visited Disney on September 2011, it was great to know that our vacation was insured against hurricanes and many other unexpected events - before and/or during. Do not forget your ponchos and water shoes!
How awesome to celebrate your son birthday while at Disney. Besides all the great parks, restaurants and resorts activities there are
tours and special events that any 18 year old young adult will love.
It is hard to beat an early morning safari adventure at Wild Africa Trek or surfing lessons at Cocoa Beach Surfing School (Typhoon Lagoon Water Park).
At Epcot Seas Aqua Tour guest can snorkel the Caribbean Coral Reef or experience a scuba adventure while at Dive Quest. Disney´s Dolphins in Depth offers an intimate and unique interaction with dolphins.
These are only the ones I would have loved to experience at my 18 birthday, there are plenty others to choose from.
Disney also features plenty of
sports and recreation activities.
During September your family will be able to experience Mickey´s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, a really fun way to experience the Magic Kingdom until late and with the best crowds ever!
There are plenty of other activities to
celebrate birthdays while at Walt Disney World.
Happy to help you plan a magical Disney vacation and 18th birthday.
