Hey Cheryl-
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. My wife and I just got back from a weekend trip to Walt Disney World Resort where we stayed a Disney’s BoardWalk Inn. I asked the exact same question about the balcony. Here is the scoop. First, the Resort is fantastic and nestled perfectly along Crescent Lake. You have got to check out the miniature carousel in the lobby and throw your swimming suit on for a ride down the Keister Coaster - it’s 200-ft of awesomeness.
Some standard rooms have balconies while others have patios and there are a few with just a window view. All rooms have a day-bed or sleeper sofa. Standard rooms at Disney’s BoardWalk Innnare over 100 sq.ft. larger than a moderate. I would suggest you request, either by phone or through early check-in on My Disney Experience, a balcony. I requested a room with a balcony, near the elevator on a high floor. We got everything including a view of the Epcot’s France Pavilion Eiffel Tower! I called three days before our check-in date just to make sure they knew it was important to us to have those features. Don’t be shy about it, Cast Members want you happy and will do what they can. Your room number is not confirmed until the day you arrive so there is time to make adjustments if needed.
If you have not experienced the nightlife along
Disney's BoardWalk Area then you must stay here. The dancing, street performers - The Boardwalk Buskers, and food is like being in Atlantic City.
I hope this helps you decide on Disney’s BoardWalk Inn.
Enjoy making many Magical Memories!
