Hi Mitel,
Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney! It looks like your
window for booking dining reservations is coming soon, so let’s get down to business.
Mitel, guests under the age of 13 cannot create their own profile on My Disney Experience.
The adult who creates a child’s profile will be the person who manages the profile and plans for that child. So, you’ll need to find out who created the My Disney Experience profile for the 4-year-old in your travel party. These next few steps will take some coordinated effort, so I recommend being in the same place or on the telephone with this member of your travel party. I also suggest completing this process on a web browser.
That guest will need to go to the Family & Friends List on their My Disney Experience account and scroll down to select “Yes, share my Family & Friends List.” Once they have chosen to share their list, you should be able to visit your Family & Friends List, scroll down to “+ Add a Guest” and select “Find through my connected Guests.”
After the 4-year-old is added to your Family & Friends List, the guest who is managing the child’s account will need to find the child on their Family & Friends List and click “Update.” Under “Guests Who Can Manage (Name’s) Plans and Photos,” they will need to find your name and choose to share “All Plans” or “Only Plans They Share.”
If you can’t add the 4-year-old to your plans after completing these steps, I recommend calling the number listed here under “
My Disney Experience and MagicBands” for assistance from a Cast Member.
I hope I pointed you in the right direction, Mitel. As you prepare to finalize your vacation plans, check out this series on
