Hello, When will Christmas decorations go up in 2026?

Hi there, Lissette! Welcome to planDisney. Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by with your question. I am pleased to see that you are planning a holiday trip to the Disneyland Resort in November. What a wonderful treat to look forward to as we kick off the New Year! I spent a week with my fellow planDisney panelists during the holiday season, and it was nothing short of pure Disney magic that I know you’ll enjoy as well. Let’s take a look at the calendar to see how your visit will align with the holiday seasonal decor!

As Halloween festivities around the resort begin to wrap on October 31st, you’ll start to see hints of holiday décor make their appearance from the snowcapped turrets featured on Sleeping Beauty’s Castle to the tow-riffic renditions of beloved holiday classics on Mater’s Jingle Jamboree over at Disney California Adventure Park. One of my family’s favorite experiences that bridges both seasons is Haunted Mansion Holiday, which typically begins during the Halloween season and continues through the holidays, blending the spooky fun of Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas with festive cheer. Before you know it, you may even find yourself experiencing “snow” falling as you stroll down Main Street, U.S.A.!

Your arrival date places you right around the time when holiday decor typically begins to appear, and in past years, Holidays at the Disneyland Resort have run through early January. While some holiday magic arrives shortly after Halloween, additional décor, seasonal food offerings, and entertainment are introduced gradually as the season officially unfolds. For the most up-to-date details as your trip approaches, I recommend keeping an eye on the Disney Parks Blog and the official Disneyland Resort events calendar for confirmed dates and entertainment offerings.

Lissette, I hope this was helpful to you as you continue to plan your holiday visit. I’m sure it will be filled with twinkling lights, seasonal treats, and plenty of holiday cheer. If you have any more questions before then, planDisney is always here to help!
