Greetings and welcome to planDisney, Natalie. We're so glad you stopped by with this question.
I love to hear that you're already thinking about making your 2024 a little more magical with a trip to the Disneyland Resort. Let's face it, April in Oregon can be a bit gloomy and I think we'll all be needing some sunshine at this point in the year.
There's only one problem right now, 2024 bookings have not yet opened up. While we've seen 2024 open for booking at Walt Disney World Resort, we unfortunately don't know exactly when that will happen for the Disneyland Resort. However, in the past, we've seen dates for the following year open up sometime during the summer of the previous year. Summer has officially arrived, so let's hope we hear some good news soon. I would recommend keeping an eye on the Disneyland website as well as the
Disney Parks Blog for any news and updates.
To answer your second question, there is a way to make payments on your magical vacation when you purchase a
Disneyland Vacation Package which will include your hotel stay and theme park tickets. You will be required to pay a deposit at the time of booking and then the remaining balance will be due 30 days prior to your arrival. You can also make payments along the way, as you wish, leading up to the date the final balance is due. Your theme park tickets will be sent to you via email four days prior to your arrival date. You will also want to be sure to make your theme park reservations up to 120 days in advance of your visit.
With a vacation package, you have the option of staying in the magic at a
Disneyland Resort Hotel or at a nearby
Good Neighbor Hotel. Both are great options, but when I can, I love staying at the Disneyland Hotel. There's so much history there and you can feel the nostalgia all around you. I recently watched Episode 7 of
"Behind the Attraction" on Disney+ which tells the history of the Disneyland Hotel. I was absolutely mesmerized by all of the vintage footage. Not to mention that you also get the benefit of
early park entry when staying at a Disneyland Resort Hotel.
Natalie, I hope this gives you some ideas and gets you started in the right direction for your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth. As you continue your plans and think of other questions, please come back to see us -
even write me directly. Until then, I wish you happy planning!
