Hello! What are the inside dimensions of the mini fridge in a Veranda Stateroom for the Disney Dream?

Hello Tim and welcome back aboard the decks at planDisney!

Ah, the age-old mini fridge question! I assume from the nature of the question that you're planning on taking full advantage of all the space in the luxurious staterooms aboard the Disney Dream. Being able to stock the refrigerator found in your stateroom is always an important part of plans to maximize your comfort. I remember when the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder had "cooling boxes" before being reimagined to include mini fridges!

I pulled into port to confirm with a Cast Member that the dimensions of the mini fridges on the Dream and Fantasy are and I'm happy to report that they had the information! The dimensions are approximately 19" high x 12" wide by 16.5"deep. Now that's not all usable space, but that puts these refrigerators in the 40-litre class, which converts to about 1.4 cubic feet of inside volume. If you're planning on packing your own bottled water in your carry-on luggage to chill in your room, that should give you room enough to keep plenty cool at once!

My family always uses the mini fridge to chill any new or exciting beverages we pick up in port (as long as they are allowed under the alcoholic beverages policy) and to keep a few damp washcloths in to help us cool down after being in the sun! We have yet to need more space, but I know everyone's needs differ!

Speaking of needs, if you have any temperature-sensitive items like medicines that require specific temperature control, you may want to check with Guest Services as soon as you embark. If this is the case, I always suggest requesting special services at least 60 days out from your embarkation. It looks like you'll be setting sail in just a few short weeks, but hopefully this could be of help for your next cruise as well!

Thank you for your question, Tim! I hope you have an incredible time on your cruise, and that the refrigerator ends up big enough for your needs. Remember we'll be here at planDisney to help with any additional questions you may have.

    Fair winds and following seas!
